Goalkeeper Matt Gilks has eyed a move away from Blackpool as contract talks have stalled between him and the club.
The 28-year-old's current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, and he is yet to sign fresh terms at Bloomfield Road.
It was reported a month ago that the stopper rejected the offer of a new deal, as his personal terms were failed to be met.
Gilks, who earned a call-up to the Scotland squad this season, is keen to remain a top-flight player.
"The Premier League is the league to play in in the world and that's what I want to do," he told Sky Sports News.
"There's no reason why I don't think I can do that. Obviously I'm out of contract at the end of the season and I don't think we're close to getting anything sorted.
"If I have to move on hopefully it will be to another Premiership club because I think I need to stay in the league."
The Seasiders' number one is currently sidelined with a knee injury until January.
