Matt Gilks faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury at West Ham on Saturday.

The Seasiders no. 1 was forced off at half-time, and a scan has revealed the extent of the damage will rule him out of action for at least two months.

Mark Halstead has been recalled from a loan spell at non-league Barrow and is set to be on the bench for Saturday's home clash against Wolves, with Richard Kingson starting between the posts.

Blackpool skipper Charlie Adam also has injury fears of his own after limping off during Scotland's 3-0 victory over the Faroe Islands last night - although is expected to be fit for Saturday.

Scots manager Craig Levein said: "He has just opened his knee up a tiny bit. I don't think it's too serious."
