Blackpool were unlucky to come away empty handed against Manchester City as a flurry of late goals earned them all three points at Bloomfield Road.
Carlos Tevez opened the scoring for City midway through the second half, but the Seasiders deservedly equalised through Marlon Harewood.
Further strikes from Tevez and David Silva sealed the victory, although Gary Taylor Fletcher replied for the home side on the stroke of full time.
Blackpool remained unchanged from their shock victory against Liverpool two weekends ago, whilst Roberto Mancini handed Emmanuel Adebayor his first start of the season alongside Carlos Tevez up front in a revised 4-4-2 formation for the Blues.
Adam Johnson fired an early warning sign for City when he cut in from the right and struck a fierce shot that keeper Matt Gilks managed to tip over.
But Blackpool soon got a foothold on the game and dominated possession.
The Seasiders were mainly restricted to long range efforts though, with Charlie Adam and Luke Varney failing to test Joe Hart.
DJ Campbell sent a diving header wide of goal in the 34th minute, as Blackpool went in search of the opener that their play deserved.
City nearly scored against the run of play moments before half time when Tevez and Adebayor both failed to capitalise on a loose ball in the box.
Gilks gratefully claimed the ball as the match remained goalless at the interval.
Vincent Kompany nearly gave City the perfect start to the second half when he headed narrowly wide from Johnson's corner.
DJ Campbell then missed a guilt edged chance to give Blackpool the lead, firing wide after Luke Varney had put the ball on a plate for him in the middle of the box.
Gary Taylor Fletcher had a goal ruled out for a debatable offside decision a minute later as the game sparked into life.
Joe Hart was on form to deny both Charlie Adam and Neal Eardley, who saw excellent strikes tipped round the post from the former Blackpool loan star.
Adebayor, who endured a disappointing afternoon, was replaced by David Silva soon after.
The £30 million man had an immediate impact on the game, directing the ball across goal for Tevez to guide home, although the Argentinian appeared to be in an offside position.
James Milner nearly added a second when he chipped the ball over the diving Gilks, but Craig Cathcart cleared off the line.
The ex Aston Villa man then saw his curling effort rattle the bar with Gilks well beaten.
Marlon Harewood grabbed a deserved equaliser for Blackpool in the 78th minute, excellently glancing Charlie Adam's free kick into the corner after Varney was brought down.
But City went right up the other end from the restart and retook the lead through Tevez's long range strike that took an unfortunate deflection off Cathcart, leaving Gilks stranded.
Tevez then had an effort deflected onto the bar as he went in search of his hat trick.
Silva sealed the victory with a superb solo effort in the 89th minute, weaving his way past two defenders before clinically slotting home.
Taylor Fletcher grabbed a consolation goal on the stroke of full time, but it was too little too late as Blackpool suffered their fourth Premier League defeat of the season.
