According to reports Blackpool FC are demanding £6 million for their highly-rated midfielder Charlie Adam.

The Daily Record claims Adam, who scored 19 goals in the Championship this season, was the inspiration behind the Seasiders' shock promotion to the Premier League.

His performances have not gone unnoticed and he is said to be interesting Everton boss David Moyes.

The midfielder moved to Bloomfield Road for just £500,000 from Rangers last summer on a three-year contract with a 12-month option.

But his value has rocketed and he was the target of an unsuccessful £3m bid from Middlesbrough gaffer Gordon Strachan in January.

Despite now being in the top flight Blackpool face a fresh battle to hold on to him this summer and will only sell if their asking price is met.

Charlie Adam aint no Alan Ball and never will be. You may need the £6 million in the championship next season, take the cash and move on.

Why sell Charlie Adam to Everton? I remember when Blackpool made the mistake of selling Alan Ball to Everton and Emlyn Hughes to Liverpool
