Blackpool FC welcome Middlesbrough FC hoping they can secure their first win in five matches.

Middlesbrough travel to Bloomfield Road for the first time in the league since 1987.

Should Blackpool claim victory they would complete the double over the Teessiders.

Blackpool are hopeful that star midfielder Charlie Adam, the subject of a couple of failed bids from Boro in January, will be fit to return to action.

Hameur Bouazza could also return to the fold having come through training, after his groin problem.

On-loan striker Stephen Dobbie will also be pushing for a return but Barry Bannan (toe) and Neal Eardley (knee), who were recently axed from the side for disciplinary reasons, remain unavailable through injury.

It remains to be seen whether Matt Gilks or Paul Rachubka will start in goal, after the latter was dropped at the weekend.

Stephen McPhee trained this week as he continues on the road to recovery while Billy Clarke (knee ligament) hopes to resume training before the end of the month.
