Blackpool are still waiting on two offers ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline, after having two bids for players knocked back earlier today.
Motherwell striker Jamie Murphy was set to join the Seasiders after a fee was agreed between the clubs, but the 22-year-old front-man failed to agree personal terms.
Manager Ian Holloway has since ruled out a move for the player who was the subject of an unsuccessful bid at the beginning of the month, although a deal still could be struck before the 11pm deadline.
Another player interesting Holloway is Northampton's promising youngster Michael Jacobs, with the Seasiders reportedly having a bid turned down a few hours ago.
The 20-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in League Two, attracting interest from a host of clubs from the Premier League down to League One.
Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, Holloway said: “Our irons are well and truly rammed into the fire, but whether we can get anything out of it I don’t know.
“If we can get the quality of player in that we’ve bid for, then I’ll be more than happy."
In the outgoings department, Billy Clarke has left the club to sign for League Two high-flyers Crawley Town on a free transfer, whilst Brett Ormerod and Daniel Bogdanovic are also rumoured to be heading for the exit door at Bloomfield Road.
