Phillips looks set to head out on loan

Blackpool winger Matt Phillips is set to join Sheffield United on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

It is understood the 20-year-old will join the League One promotion hopefuls until January and could be in line for a high-profile debut in Sunday's eagerly-awaited Steel City derby against Sheffield Wednesday at Bramall Lane.

Phillips showed glimpses of promises in the Premier League last season following his £350,000 move from Wycombe Wanderers but has been restricted to only two starts in the Championship this term following the Seasiders' relegation.
