Blackpool are set to offer new deals to long-serving pair Keith Southern and Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
Seasiders boss Ian Holloway has been encouraging chairman Karl Oyston to make sure the duo are rewarded for their efforts over the past few seasons, as he looks to preserve the nucleus of his side.
Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, Holloway said: “The chairman has got to make a decision and I am sure he will make the right one. Whatever that is I will support it.
“But we are at a stage now where everything has been talked about and looked at, and I expect it to be concluded in a good way for us – with those two re-signing very soon.
“If they do re-sign, I’ll be delighted because I would have them all day long.
“They have been there, seen it and done it. They know what it takes and I think they are good enough to help us get back up and maybe stay there.”
