Blackburn Rovers are reportedly targeting Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.

The Mirror claims Rovers boss Steve Kean wants to lure Defoe to Ewood Park andf it is understood the club’s new owners have provided him with the necessary cash.

Defoe had a poor season at Tottenham, losing his regular place in the side, and Kean is believed to eye an opportunity of taking him away from White Hart Lane.

It is understood that Kean will look to include the striker in a swap deal involving Spurs’ centre-half target, Chris Samba.

Yeah i'd go for that but we'd have to bring in another defender with experience maybe James Collins from Villa.
