Blackburn Rovers are reportedly launching a bid for Standard Liege star Axel Witsel.

A long-term target for Manchester United and Everton, Witsel is now a £10 million target for Blackburn boss Steve Kean, claims the People.

The free-scoring midfielder admits his time in Belgium's top flight is over and he wants to move abroad.

Kean is being backed by unprecedented transfer funds by new Rovers owners, Venky's.
