Blackburn Rovers eye Standard Liege midfielder Witsel

According to reports Blackburn Rovers are chasing Standard Liege midfielder Axel Witsel.

The Mirror claims Rovers are to make an £8 million move for Belgian midfield hardman Witsel.

Rovers boss Steve Kean wants to beat Italian sides Palermo and Lazio to the Standard Liege star.

Witsel is going to be sold by his club and Kean is trying to get to the front of the queue - helped by the fact his agents, Kentaro, also have a role behind the scenes at Ewood Park.
