Blackburn Rovers prepare to double offer for Freiburg striker Cisse

According to reports Blackburn Rovers are stepping up their pursuit of Freiburg forward Papiss Cisse.

Rovers have already had one offer for Cisse rejected by the German club.

The Daily Mail claims Rovers are now set to double their opening £6 million offer and beat off interest from Russian outfits Lokomotiv Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg.

Rovers boss Steve Kean is anxious to land his first major signing of the summer.
