Blackburn Rovers face rejection from Sao Paulo defender Miranda

According to reports Sao Paulo defender Joao Miranda looks set to snub Blackburn Rovers.

Rovers boss Steve Kean is understood to have made a late move for the Brazilian.

However, the Mirror claims Kean’s attempts to hijack Miranda's free-agent switch from Brazilian champions Sao Paulo to Atletico Madrid by offering to double his wages has met with rejection.

The Brazilian is expected to honour his pre-contract agreement with the Spanish outfit.
