Blackburn Rovers are reportedly unhappy with Manchester United’s conduct during the chase for defender Phil Jones.
Rovers appear to have concerns that United were privy to information about Jones’ contract details which allegedly gave them the upper hand in subsequent negotiations for the player.
The Sunday Mirror claims Anuradha Desai, who runs co-runs Rovers owners, Venkys, has moved to to prevent the transfer from being concluded.
However, it is believed that no official complaint has been lodged with the Premier League.
It appears Rovers feel United were in breach of transfer regulations when they were tipped off about the clause in the five-year deal that Jones signed with Rovers in February.
However, unless Rovers can prove that United and other clubs had received confidential information about Jones contract it is unlikely to stop the transfer going ahead.
