Blackburn Rovers defender Pascal Chimbonda has revealed he is happy to stay at Ewood Park.
Chimbonda was expected to move to West Ham United on transfer deadline day but the deal fell through.
The Frenchman is expected be offered a new contract by Rovers and it seems he is happy to pledge his long-term future to the club.
"It is true West Ham tried to sign me on transfer deadline day, but Blackburn decided to keep me," Chimbonda told skysports.com.
"The chairman told me I was too important to the team to sell as I can play at right-back, left-back or centre-back.
"I have heard rumours about a new contract and I would be happy to sit down with the club and discuss a new deal to stay at Blackburn."
