According to reports Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to keep hold of full-back Pascal Chimbonda.

The France defender almost joined West Ham United on deadline day.

However, the Daily Mail claims the Ewood Park outfit is now ready to open new contract talks with the player with a view to tying him long-term to the club.
