According to reports Blackburn Rovers have launched a bid for Elfsborg hitman Denni Avdic.

The Daily Mail claims Rovers have followed up their interest in Swedish striker Avdic with a £2 million offer.

It is also understood that West Bromwich Albion have already been in touch with his club Elfsborg, and West Ham United and Newcastle United are also monitoring the situation.

The 21-year-old was top scorer in Sweden last year.

Although born in Bosnia, he has played all his football in Sweden and is eligible to play for both countries.
