Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce set to make Benjani decision

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is to decide whether or not to take on trialist Benjani Mwaruwari.

The ex-Manchester City and Portsmouth forward has been training at Ewood Park this month and Allardyce is pondering over a possible deal.

The 32-year-old Zimbabwe international was released by City at the end of last season.

Allardyce said: "Benji is training with us. We'll see where we are when that training finishes in the middle of the week and make a decision there."
