According to reports Blackburn Rovers are interested Sporting Gijon full-back Roberto Canella.
The Spanish clubs are in financial difficulties and are looking to offload players to raise money.
Earlier in the summer The Mirror claimed that Rovers’ scouts had watched the left-back and it seems they are still monitoring the situation.
The 22-year-old has represented Spain at Under-19 level and was in the squad that won the UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship in 2006.
Canella is considered one of the best young defenders in the Spanish League and has been attracting interest from a number of top clubs across Europe for the last few years.
