Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Mark Bunn is hoping to break into the first team this season.

Bunn is preapred to make another push this campaign but has admitted if he fails to at least make the bench he may have to leave Ewood Park.

The 25-year-old faces a battle with Jason Brown and youngster Frank Fielding to be Paul Robinson’s deputy.

Bunn signed for Blackburn Rovers from Northampton in August 2008 but has yet to appear in the Premier League and has just one FA Cup appearance to his name.

He has since spent loan spells at Leicester and Sheffield United in the Championship.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: “It was the first game I’ve played in this pre-season and we’ve got another game on Wednesday.

"I’ve not spoken to the gaffer yet but obviously I wanted to be pushing for the bench this season.

“If I don’t get on the bench this season then obviously I want to look to play football.

"I enjoyed playing week in week out at Sheffield United so that’s always a possibility.”
