According to reports Aston Villa are willing to offload midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker alerting the likes of Premier League rivals Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers.

However, it seems Villa are pricing him out of the market.

The Mirror claims the Midlands club is looking to raise funds and have placed a £4 million price tag on Reo-Coker.

The midfielder, signed from West Ham in July 2007 for £7.5 million has been made available for transfer.

The 26-year-old’s days at Villa seem numbered after his bust-up with boss Martin O’Neill last season, but the valuation is beyond the means of Rovers and will need to be lowered if their interest is to continue.

Had such high hopes for him when he signed. Was great at West Ham but never seen him play well for Villa. Looks fat and slow now!

not the most gifted on the ball, but as a player to tackle and break up play 4m is a bargain. Better than teachers Pet-rov

If Rovers cannot afford £4m for a good midfielder who isnt playing at Villa because he doesnt fit in to their system, they are in trouble!
