It is reported that Sunderland FC are set to join Blackburn Rovers in the hunt for Estudiantes striker Mauro Boselli.
The Daily Mail claims Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has sent scouts to Argentina to check on the 24-year-old Estudiantes star with Rovers also said to be keen.
Boselli is available for £8 million but Estudiantes may be willing to let him out on loan for a season with a view to a permanent deal.
The marksman is also believed to be on the transfer radar of Wigan Athletic and Birmingham City.
Indeed, Boselli almost moved to St Andrews in January but it seems boss Alex McLeish wanted him watched for the rest of the season before making any further moves.
