Chelsea FC boss Carlo Ancelotti blames dropped Blackburn points on Euro exit

Carlo Ancelotti has admitted his side’s Champions League exit might have had a bearing on Chelsea FC dropping points at Blackburn Rovers.

El-Hadji Diouf's second half header cancelled out Didier Drogba's opener at Ewood Park to hand the Premier League title initiative to Manchester United and Arsenal.

"It has been a hard week, but every week is hard as you have to prepare for the games," the Italian told Sky Sports.

"It was a difficult game, with a lot of fight on the pitch.

"We tried to play football, but lost some confidence as they put us under pressure and won more second balls.

"We tried, but were unlucky."
