According to reports Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is preparing a bid for Stoke City striker James Beattie.

Beattie has been relegated to the sidelines for the remainder of the season due to injury.

The Daily Star claims Allardyce is ready to help the striker resurrect his career at Ewood Park with a £2 million bid.
