Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts insists he does not mind how his side wins, just as long as they do.
Roberts has been speaking in the wake of the spat between Rovers boss Sam Allardyce and his Liverpool counterpart Rafa Benitez over the Ewood Park outfit’s approach to the recent game at Anfield.
“I think we’re all frustrated that we’ve put some good performances in but not got the results we would have liked,” Roberts told the Lancashire Telegraph.
”We’re past the fact that we played well but we didn’t come away with anything.
“We’d prefer to play ugly, play badly and get something from the game.
“I guess it is a shame that we have had a break with how we’ve been playing but at the same time it gives some of the boys who have played a lot of games a chance to be fresh for the last run-in of the season.”
