According to reports Blackburn Rovers are hoping to offload Mauro Formica before the close of the transfer window later today.
The 23-year-old has been touted around by Rovers with the aim of raising £3 million.
The People claim that Rovers were hopeful that Greek side Olympiakos would take him off their hands but the deal fell through.
It seems a similar scenario transpired when a move to Brazilian side Flamengo also fell through.
