Reading manager Brian McDermott says his club is interested in Blackburn Rovers striker Jason Roberts.

Although he is not 100% determined to land any new players in the current transfer window, he stopped short of ruling out a move for the experienced marksman.

The Royals have been linked with both Roberts, Doncaster Rovers frontman Billy Sharp and Brentford defender Karleigh Osborne.

"With Sean (Morrison) going out on loan (to Huddersfield Town), there is a possibility that we might bring in someone like Karleigh Osborne to cover," McDermott told getreading.

"Jason Roberts is a player I know well, a good player and he has experience. But he's not our player, he's at Blackburn. And Billy Sharp is a Doncaster player.

"We have to maintain the team dynamic here, which has been a huge reason behind our success, and I will only bring in players who enhance the group as players and people."
