According to reports moves were afoot within Blackburn Rovers to have boss Steve Kean sacked.

The People claims an internal memo was sent to Indian owner Mrs Anuradha Desai earlier in the season urging her to replace him.

The move is believed to have been made after the home defeat by West Brom on 17 December 17 that sent Rovers to the foot of the Premier League table.

Kean was made aware of the attempt to unseat him when Venky’s HQ in India forwarded the memo to him.

Since then, the Scot has guided his team out of the bottom three, earning a shock win at Manchester United and hard-fought draws at Liverpool and Everton.
