
According to reports Paraguay defender Victor Caceres is a target for Blackburn Rovers.
The Mirror claims Rovers boss Steve Kean is closing in on the Paraguay international.
The versatile Caceres is due to join Rovers in a bargain deal from Libertad in his homeland, with a move due to be tied up by the weekend.
Caceres can play either in defence or in front of the back four and could replace Republic of Ireland midfielder Keith Andrews.
Andrews is understood to be sorting out a severance deal ahead of a cut-price switch to Wigan Athletic.
