Blackburn Rovers closing in on Bordeaux striker Modeste

According to reports Blackburn Rovers are moving in on Bordeaux striker Anthony Modeste.

The Daily Mail claims Rovers boss Steve Kean is close to finalising a loan deal for Modeste.

The former France Under-21 international was left on the bench for Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Valenciennes which was attended by Rovers representatives.

Bordeaux are happy to let the 23-year-old leave and there is a possibility the move could be made permanent in the summer.
