According to reports Blackburn Rovers are keeping tabs on Raul's position at Schalke.

The Daily Mail claims Rovers boss Steve Kean is lining up an ambitious move for the former Real Madrid legend.

It is understood he believes his hopes have been boosted by a stand-off between the Spaniard and Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick.

After scoring against Cologne on Saturday, Raul made a point of not celebrating which has been interpreted as a sign he wants away.

However, Kean has a limited budget while Malaga and Russian side Anzhi have also shown interest.
