Partizan Belgrade director of sport Mladen Krstajic has admitted the club is in negotiations with Blackburn Rovers over Radosav Petrovic.

The 22-year-old looked to be on his way to Vitesse Arnhem earlier in the summer, but a move for the Serbia international fell through.

Rovers have now made their move for the midfielder.

"I can confirm that we're in the middle of talks with Blackburn for Petrovic," explained Krstajic.

"In the last 24 hours there hasn't been anything of interest.

“For now there's nothing official, only that we're in talks; a transfer has not been finalised."
