Benjani has left Blackburn Rovers after failing to agree new terms with the club.
The Zimbabwean striker had been expected to sign a one-year deal with Rovers.
However, The Lancashire Telegraph reports that the he has decided to leave Ewood Park after being unhappy with the terms he was offered.
He does not yet have another club lined up, although several Championship outfits are understood to be interested.
