Blackburn Rovers boss Kean wants to keep Kalinic

According to reports Blackburn Rovers striker Nikola Kalinic has a future at the club.

It is understood that boss Steve Kean has told the Croatian that he wants him to stay at Ewood Park.

Kalinic has expressed doubts about whether his career is best served by staying with the Premier League club after falling down the striking pecking order following Kean’s arrival.

Indeed, there appears to be interest from Ukraine outfit Dynamo Kiev.

However, Kean has assured the forward he will get a fair crack at the whip.

After watching Kalinic score in Rovers’ 2-1 win over Accrington, Kean said: "He'll get minutes on the pitch."
