Mariano Pavone’s agent has revealed his player’s delight at moving to Blackburn Rovers.
The Argentinian, who is a free agent after buying himself out of his contract with Real Betis earlier this summer, has been linked with a switch to Rovers.
Agent Barry McIntosh said: "Mariano is delighted to get his chance in English football.
“He has spoken to several clubs but he was particularly impressed by (Rovers boss) Steve Kean.
"Steve made him feel very welcome and explained his plans, and Mariano was delighted with what he heard.
“He is now looking forward to the next chapter with an ambitious club like Blackburn."
Pavone left Betis last July and returned to Argentina to join River Plate on loan.
