Tributes have been paid to a Lancashire schoolboy killed in a horror fall from a zip wire in a North Wales adventure park.
Bailey Lonsdale, 11, died after plunging 30ft from the 145-metre SwampFlyer ride at Greenwood Forest Park, in Snowdonia, on Sunday.
The schoolboy, Wensleydale Avenue, Grange Park, Blackpool, was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries but died soon after.
Shocked teachers and pupils at the youngster's school, Boundary Primary School, were told the devastating news when they returned from the Easter break on Tuesday.
Headteacher Dayle Harrison said: “Bailey was a popular young man who has been with us here right from starting school.
“He was well liked not just by his own classmates but by children right across the school and the staff.
“He was very bright academically and also very charismatic.
“Bailey was a gifted mathematician and liked cooking but he was also a sportsman and enjoyed football and riding his BMX.
“He was a thoroughly pleasant boy with much to look forward to and everything to live for.
“His parents are absolutely devastated and were very proud of their son.”
Social networking sites have also been flooded with tributes to the popular young lad.
Writing on a Facebook memorial page, Bailey's sister Cheryl Sumner said: "R.I.P little brother, we're all missing you like crazy.
"You were such an amazing boy. I'll never forget you, I promise."
Brokenhearted little sister Jesica Lonsdale added: "Bailey your the best brother i ever had.
"i miss you a lot please come back bailey (sic)."
The park was shut down on Monday while an investigation was launched by North Wales Police and the Health and Safety Executive.
