Detectives are investigating a double death riddle of a couple whose bodies were found at their bungalow home in Lancashire.
The corpses of businessman Robert Holden, 44 and his 40-year-old wife, Nicola, were discovered at the spacious white-painted home in Morecambe, at 11.50am on Friday.
Police were called to the #200,000 detached property on Low Lane by neighbours who became suspicious after not seeing the couple for some time.
Lancashire Constabulary said the investigation into how the pair met their deaths was "at a very early stage".
The results of a post mortem were awaited but a police source said that it appeared to be a tragic case of murder and suicide.
A spokesman said: "Post-mortem examinations to establish the cause of their deaths will be carried out on Saturday.
"Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
