Detectives investigating the murder of woman lawyer are thought to be examining her Facebook account as they explore the motive for the killing.
The body Linda Bakewell was discovered in the boot of her car, which was parked in a suburban road in Widnes, Cheshire.
As the result of a post mortem showed she had been strangled, grieving colleagues paid tribute to the woman described as "an amazing person".
The 45-year-old unmarried lawyer had been officially listed as "missing from home" by Merseyside Police when she vanished on Friday 19th November.
Her body was found the boot of a silver Nissan Note hire car in Shavington Walk, Widnes, on Wednesday morning.
A former workmate of Linda Bakewell told how Lynda was renowned for the dedicated and caring attitude she adopted in the field of personal injury litigation.
Linda had attended Archbishop Blanch CoE High School, Liverpool, in the 1980s, gained a law degree at Chester College.
She worked for a number of prominent legal firms in Merseyside and Cheshire and had joined Armstrong Law in Liverpool as a director in August this year.
Ex-colleague at Armstrongs, Amy Gibson, 19, said: "Linda was an amazing person who always helped me and many other others.
"We are all shocked and devastated at her death.
"She was unique and we are all deeply shocked that anyone could hurt her in any way.
"She handled her case-load practically single-handed and always gave one hundred per cent to whatever came her way.
"Linda was very caring and considerate towards the people involved in her cases and that is why it is impossible to imagine how or why anyone would harm her.
"She was a close friend as well as a colleague. She will be sorely missed and all our thoughts are with her family and her wide circle of friends."
Father-of-four Philip Martins, who lives in Somerford Walk, near the spot where the body was found, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Martins, 47, is thought to have first encounted Linda only a matter of weeks before her death.
He was being quizzed by senior Cheshire Police detectives.
Neighbours said divorcee Martins had lived at his address for more than twenty years but was not known for socialising locally
In 2008 Martins was given a 12 week suspended prison sentence after he admitted illegally collecting hundreds of wild bird eggs.
He was also ordered to complete 200 hours of community service after Halton Magistrates Court heard that he had two draws full of eggs including those of protected species including barn owls and a black redstart.
One neighbour said: "Mr Martins one of those people who has never been friendly with anyone in the street.
"But he has been a family man and we see people coming and going from his house.
"His arrest has come as a complete shock to the whole street."
Police forensic experts were examining the hire car in which the body was found and had carried out a thorough search of Martins' three-bedroomed-home.
Crime Scene Investigators were also examining a Rover 75 car which was recovered from the Crown and Cushion Pub, in Penketh, as part of the murder inquiry.
It is thought Linda and Martins could have met at a "Soul Nights" singles group in St Helens.
She was last seen driving a silver Nissan Note hire car out of a car park on Tithebarn Street, Liverpool city centre, at around 5.10pm on 19th November.
Her home was terraced house in Horwood Avenue, Rainhill, where she lived for more than a decade, and five miles from the place her body was found
In a statement Linda's employers, Armstrong Solicitors, said "She made a valuable contribution to the growth of Armstrong, and was popular with all members of staff.
"She will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this extremely sad and difficult time."
Colleagues said Linda had returned to work for the firm, based in Old Hall Street, in August last year after break following a previous three year stint.
She qualified as a lawyer in December, 1997 and completed her training with the Widnes law firm Jones Robertson as an assistant solicitor.
