A mobile football cage will be used to encourage children to take part in constructive activities during the summer evenings.
The move, being carried out by Lancashire Police and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, is aimed at providing youngsters in St Annes with something positive to do with their time, thus reducing anti-social behaviour that is borne out of boredom.
The cage is a portable full-size five-a-side football pitch and will be located on the Blackpool Road playing fields on 5, 12 and 19 July from 5pm - 7pm and on 26 July from 2pm - 4pm.
A qualified FA coach will be leading sessions and free soft drinks and fruit will be available.
Places will be on a first-come first served basis at the sessions and parents will need to sign a consent form in order for their children to take part.
PC Matthew Scott, community beat manager for the Kilnhouse ward, said: "We often find that boredom is one of the main reasons for some youngsters becoming a nuisance to other residents, as the lack of something productive to do leads them to act in an anti-social manner or even carry out minor crimes.
"The football cage will provide an engaging activity for them to get involved in and their energy can then be channelled into something worthwhile."
