Police believe two separate sex attacks carried out on teenage girls in Burnley could be linked.
A 14-year-old girl was assaulted on Tuesday 24 May as she made her way to school along Leyland Road at 9am.
Her skirt was pulled down by a man described as white, in his 30’s and about 5ft 10ins tall, wearing a black hooded top and dark jeans.
A 13-year-old girl was also attacked in the same fashion on the same road two days later at around 8:30am.
Her description detailed a similar man, though this time he was described as in his 20’s.
DI Simon Cheyte said: "Due to the similarities of the two offences we do believe they could be linked.
"These incidents, I know, were very distressing for both the young girls involved and we are extremely keen to trace this individual as soon as possible.”
