Two Lancashire men are behind bars following a police drugs crackdown in Preston.
Sean Palmer, 46, of Grimshaw Street, was sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to four counts of supplying heroin.
Jack Swain, 19, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years after pleading guilty to seven counts of supplying heroin and crack cocaine.
Both appeared at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday 22nd March.
Lancashire Constabulary's Det Chief Insp Andy Webster said: “The police, together with the communities of Preston, refuse to tolerate those who choose to break the law by selling drugs.
“We will continue to use a focused police response to tackle those who blight our communities.
"The public have sent us a very clear message that they do not want people who deal drugs to live among them and we will continue to take action.”
Swain was also handed a three-year criminal anti-social behaviour order (CRASBO) – a criminally sought anti-social behaviour order that is given on the back of a person receiving a criminal conviction.
The CRASBO outlines that Swain isn’t allowed to enter part of Ribbleton including the Longridge Road and Gamull Lane area.
The order also states that he can’t associate with Thomas Pritchard, 22, from Ribbleton.
Both Palmer and Swain were arrested in November as part of Operation Nimrod, a nationally acclaimed force-wide operation dedicated to tackling drug-related crime right across the county.
The crackdown is a long-term approach that has been running since 2002.
