Police suspect murder in Morecambe death couple mystery

Police are investigating the possibility that a husband in Morecambe strangled his wife before killing himself.

The bodies of Robert Holden, 44 and his wife Nicola, 40, were discovered at their family bungalow in Low Lane on Friday.

A post-mortem examination has since revealed that Mrs Holden died of ligature strangulation while her husband appeared to have hung himself.

A police spokesperson confirmed that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths, but investigations are continuing.

I spent a whole day with the Holdens in Mexico. She was not happy and wanted to leave him. I didnt think he would do this.
