A ST ANNE’S teenager has been hit with an ASBO banning from the town centre at night time.

18-year-old Peter Gillett, of Clover Avenue, was given the order today after appearing at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

The ASBO bans him from St Anne’s town centre between 9pm – 6am; from being drunk in a public place within the Fylde Borough; from having an open container of alcohol in a public place in the Fylde Borough and from acting or inciting others to act in an anti-social or threatening manner.

The court was presented with a catalogue of evidence by police which chronicled Gillett's drunken behaviour.

PC Michael Schouteten said: “Peter has been responsible for anti-social behaviour in the St Anne’s area over a period of time and this has largely been fuelled by alcohol.

"We are pleased with this result, which we thought was necessary to protect the public of St Anne’s."
