Police are hunting thieves who stole two hounds and a wild boar from a city park.
Armed with a hacksaw thieves removed the bronze statues, worth in the region of £12,000 to £15,000, from their resting place at Hereford Grove, Cottam.
Officers believe they were taken sometime between 5pm on Friday 9th July and 7am on Monday 12th July.
The pieces, by Dutch-born artist Marjan Wouda, who lives in Darwen, East Lancashire, were taken from the village green off Greenside.
PC Olivia Hewitt said: "These are really distinctive statues and somebody, somewhere must know of their whereabouts.
"I would appeal to anybody who has any information about the theft of these statues, which belong to Preston City Council, to contact police immediately."
A spokesperson from Preston City Council said: "Unfortunately some of our statues were stolen from the Cottam area last month.
"This has sadly happened before and the cost of replacing them is not cheap, estimated to be around £12,000 to £15,000.
"If anyone does have any information about the incident they are urged to contact the police."
Anybody with any information should contact police on 08451 25 35 45 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
