
A 37-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed and kicked in a horror attack near a Spar shop in Preston.
Three people - two men and a woman - are being quizzed by detectives who are investigating the assault that happened in Plungington Road on Tuesday at around 6.30pm.
The victim suffered a number of stab wounds as well as being punched and kicked on the ground and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where he is still being treated for his wounds.
His injuries are described as "not life-threatening".
Det Insp Dave McKenna, of Preston CID, said: "This assault happened in broad daylight and a number of people would have witnessed this incident. I would appeal to those people to contact police immediately."
Two men, aged 44 and 28, from Preston and a 29 year old woman from Bamber Bridge have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and affray and are currently in police custody.
