Police hunt three yobs who attacked Blackpool teenager

Lancashire police are appealing for help in tracking-down yobs who carried out a serious assault on a teenager on Devonshire Road, Blackpool.

The assault happened between 11pm and 11:30pm in the Rock Gardens when the 16 year old victim was walking home with a friend, taking a shortcut through the gardens.

It was then he was approached by a group of three men strangers who became abusive and one man punched the victim in the face breaking his jaw. All three have ran-off towards Devonshire Rd.

The man who it is believed punched the victim is described as white, around 18 years of age. He was approximately six feet two inches tall, of medium build with a local accent.

He was described as wearing a black tracksuit top and bottoms with the hood up. The tracksuit top had a large red Nike tick across the front accompanied by the word Nike. He was wearing black and green Nike 110 trainers.

The two men he was with are described as: white, around 18 years of age and approximately five feet nine inches tall. One of the men was further described as being of slim build with short shaved ginger hair.

DC Simon Gray of Blackpool CID said: "This was a nasty and unprovoked attack which has left a young man with a serious injury. I must stress that this is an isolated incident and we are very keen to trace the people responsible.
