The net is closing on two men wanted by detectives in Lancashire.

The pair are wanted on prison recall and police are asking people to come forward if they have any information.

Daniel Edward Billington, 35, from Preston was recalled to prison in February 2008 after he was released early from the sentence he was serving for a previous robbery.

As well as the prison recall, he is now also wanted for questioning in relation to a serious assault in Preston which took place in November 2007.

He is described as around 5 feet 10 inches tall with blue eyes and he has various tattoos on both arms and two cannabis motif tattoos on his back.

Billington featured on the Crimewatch Roadshow on the 23rd of June and information that has come in since then indicates that he is either in the Blackpool or Preston area.

William Edward Morris, 33 years old, originally from Liverpool has recently been living in Blackpool and previously in the Galgate area. Following the Crimewatch Roadshow appeal, information has been received linking Morris to Kirkham.

It is also believed that he has connections in agriculture and so may be working in that industry. He has previously worked in Cumbria and Dorset.

Morris is described as 5 feet six inches tall, of heavy build with brown eyes with tattoos on both arms.

Inspector John Clucas said: “I’d like to reassure the public that as a force we have a high success rate of returning people to prison and use all methods to catch these people who are recalled to prison. I would also ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police. We want these people bringing to justice and any details the public may have could be crucial.”

Information can be passed to the local police, or by e mail using the e mail address on the wanted on warrant web site, or it can be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111
