A family of Big Brother fanatics are staging their own version of the hit show having installed cameras all over their home which beam live accross the internet.

The Walmsley family are building-up a cult following on the web thanks to the devices placed in nearly every room of their plush house in Liverpool.

Jack and Kim Walmsley have been married for 18 years and have five children, Jack Jnr, Harry, Jimmy, Charlie and Melissa.

And already the close-knit family are watched by 130,000 web users daily who click through to see them going about their daily routine.

Dad Jack, 45, has confessed locals think the family are "crackpots" but admitted he's enjoying every second of turning their home into an unofficial Big Brother House.

Jack said: "Friends and family think we are crackpots.

"But you've got to be here and experience it to realise what it really is like."

Self-employed Jack, runs a security firm, said he first came up with idea two years ago when he and his wife, returned from living in Australia.

"We were sat there on the couch one night, it was miserable weather outside and we were so bored." said Jack

"Me and Kim were talking about doing a Big Brother style show because we have always loved it the concept.

"It took us a while to work out how it was all going to work, with the technology and cameras but it then it all started to come together and it has all been worth it.

Grey-haired Jack also confessed that he and wife Kim had a tough time convincing their five teenage children to be part of the reality TV experience.

Jack added: "At first the children were a bit apprehensive, they were worried about losing their privacy.

"But we explained that there would be no cameras in the bedrooms or bathrooms, so they came round to the idea.

"Now they love it. They are always playing up to the cameras.

"We will talk about anything and everything.

"The thing about Big Brother is that when it gets down to the nitty gritty and the arguments, they blank it out with bird song.

"We don't have any of that.

"Only yesterday, people could see my two boys fighting over a playstation game and they ended up smashing an ornament that was given to me and my wife on our wedding day.

"You can't script stuff like that, it just happens in every day life."

Five cameras have been placed in the family's 6 bedroomed property on Victoria Road Formby, and their every move is streamed live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The only rooms which are off limits to the world wide web are the bathrooms and bedrooms.

But the inclusion of a make-shift 'Diary room' which is based in the cloakroom is somewhere where the family can go to talk and gets things off their chest,

Mum Kim, 44, said they sometimes forget the cameras are there, but added: "We love it."

"I just ignore the cameras, I never even notice them anymore.

"We can't believe how big it has gone, I have made friends all around the world.

"I think it is better than Big Brother because it gives you a real insight into British family life.

"We aren't fake and haven't been chosen for our looks or whacky personality.

"We talk about real issues, nothing is off limits, even if it is embarassing.

"There are no researchers or producers here to manipulate footage, we just get on with our daily routine."
