
International artist, Sarah Douglas, visited Runshaw Adult College to talk to students studying for their Foundation Degree in Fine Art on her experience of the art world and the inspiration behind her paintings.
The fascinating talk helped to motivate students and gave them invaluable information when it comes to deciding on the direction of their future career.
Course leader Jan Moon commented, “Sarah was fantastic. The talk was very informative and she spoke openly about her experience and answered all questions in an honest and enthusiastic manner. It was an uplifting experience for the students.”
Sarah then met each student individually to discuss their artwork and progress, she chatted to each one giving feedback on their individual work. The students ended the day on a real high, they were all full of praise for Sarah’s delivery, content and the knowledge she shared.

Sarah was born in Cape Town, South Africa but now lives and works in London. She has had many exhibitions in London and abroad including Spain, USA, Germany and Switzerland.
Sarah studied a BA in Fine Art at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College before going on to do a MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art London.
