Fresh-faced and punky 18-year-old Maria Thomas beat off the competition to be crowned Vera Wang's Rock Princess, her rock chick spirit embodying the essence of her newest fragrance.
Spotted at the Wireless festival in Hyde Park, online voters chose Maria to be the face of Rock Princess and star in a Company magazine fashion shoot.
Watch out Agyness Deyn, as the dancer from Crawley has got more plans to conquer the modelling world. Click Liverpool caught up with Maria to chat festivals and style.
How was the shoot for Company?
The shoot was amazing! One of the best days of my life! I had a hair stylist, a make-up artist, two stylists and as well as the photographer there was an artistic director. Everyone was so lovely!
What did it feel like to win?
It was the best feeling! I couldn't believe it at first.
Have you done any modelling before the Vera Wang comp?
Yeah, I was the face for Jimmy Chop Chop, a hair salon in Brighton and Manor Royal. I also modelled for the 'Ring Flash' (Camera equipment) and hair modelled for Errol Douglas. I also modelled for London College of Fashion students.
Do you want to become a model?
My main ambition is to be a professional Contemporary/Neoclassical dancer. But I have always enjoyed modelling and now I have been given this chance you never know what might come from it!
Would you ever do reality TV? Britains' Next Top Model?
Yeah, I would love to do something like that! I'm just terrible at finding out about these things and how to sign up!

I went to the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park and I am going to the V Festival!

Vintage shops mostly. Sometimes in TopShop and French Connection.
Why does your style rock?
I don't really know why! Most of my tops I have were about £3 and all my jeans have rips in them! I always pinch my sisters and brothers t-shirts!

How long do you spend getting ready?
About 30 minutes give or take?
What music do you listen to when getting ready?
Depends where I am going really. If I am going out with the girls for the night I will listen to some Beyonce and Michael Jackson. But if I am going to see my other half maybe a bit of John Mayer and Little Dragon.
